Narcissa isn't the cold hearted person most people think she is. Well, she is, but not to everyone. Narcissa is a very nice person to her friends. When around friends, she isn't afraid to say the stupid things that enemies of hers would use against her. She tells her deepest, darkest secrets to her really close friends. She isn't afraid to be open. However, there are some things she chooses to keep to herself.

However, when around people who she doesn't like, she is then typical Slytherin. She won't hesitate to hex someone who is annoying her to no end. Now, Narcissa doesn't go around with her wand at the ready. She will wait a bit before hexing someone. But, once she is at the point where she is ready to use her wand, by all means, she will. She isn't afraid of detention. To her, detention is time for her to think. She is alone doing whatever chore the professor makes her do. She finds it soothing.

Narcissa isn't always full of angry or happy energy. Sometimes she just feels at ease and wants to be alone. This is when she does her reading and writing; when she is in her calm mood. She usually writes in her journal about what has happened to her. Sometimes she writes sonnets. She has taken a liking to them.

Narcissa grew up like any wealthy, dark, pure blood family. Her parents paid no attention to her and her sisters, and made up for it by giving them whatever they wanted. When Narcissa was younger, she was thrilled to be getting whatever she wanted, but as she grew older, a started to see the importance of family and vowed to herself that she would never ignore her own child. She wants her kid to have his or her parents there for him or her. She doesn't want them to feel like they have no one in the world to run to when things get over their head.

Narcissa grew up mostly relying on her older sister, Bellatrix. She would spend some time with Andromeda, but once she was sorted into Slytherin and Andromeda into Ravenclaw, they had less time to spend together. Narcissa couldn't ruin her reputation, plus if Andromeda was put into Ravenclaw, she wouldn't be following the family tradition. Most of the Black family was put into Slytherin. Narcissa didn't know what to do once Andromeda and her cousin, Sirius, were put into other houses. So, she followed what everyone else was doing, stopped talking to them. Sometimes, she does miss her sister, but she just does other things to take her mind off her.

"Ugh!" came Narcissa's voice from underneath her blankets. It was September first. A big day for a lot of people in the magical world. This was the day the Hogwarts Express leaves King's Cross Station and heads to Hogsmeade Station. It was finally time for school to start again. Summer holiday was over.

Narcissa decided it was time to get up, so she threw the covers off her and rolled out of bed. She purposely hit the floor. That usually wakes her up in the morning. Narcissa crawled over to the bathroom and stared at herself in the mirror. She looked tired. She then decided now was a good time for breakfast. She she made her way downstairs and grabbed a chocolate muffin. She sat down at the little bar-type thing and ate her muffin. When she was done, she went back to her bathroom and jumped into the shower.

After Narcissa was ready, she went back downstairs and left her trunk in the middle of the kitchen. That way someone would see it and put it where it was supposed to go.

Narcissa had arrived at King's Cross. She went through the barrier to get to platform 9 and 1/3, like she always did. This routine was starting to get a little old. She was bored doing everything like she did the year before. Narcissa got aboard the train and found an empty compartment. She sat down in it and waited for her friends to come and find her. Narcissa was sitting by the window with her feet on the seat across from her, and she was slouched down. As she looked out the window, she hoped this year would be different in a way. Anyway. She just didn't want to live in a deeper rut than the rut she already lives in.
